Attorney-at-law Artur Piechocki has been shortlisted for the prestigious The Legal 500 Central & Eastern Europe Awards 2026 in the category Data Privacy and Data Protection Lawyer of the Year. The distinction is granted by The Legal 500 – one of the world’s leading international legal directories, recognising law firms and lawyers based on independent market research, client feedback, and the quality and complexity of their work.
The nomination includes leading lawyers from across the Central and Eastern Europe region specialising in data protection, cybersecurity, new technologies, and compliance. The shortlist was prepared on the basis of The Legal 500’s annual research conducted throughout the CEE market. According to the organisers, this year’s awards take place against the backdrop of rapid economic, technological, and regulatory transformation driven by AI development, cybersecurity challenges, digital transformation, and evolving approaches to risk and data governance.
The CEE Awards 2026 nomination marks another international recognition for both Artur Piechocki and APLaw, following this year’s recommendations in The Legal 500 EMEA 2026 and Media Law International 2026 rankings.
Congratulations to all nominees from Poland and across the Central and Eastern European region, both in the Data Privacy and Data Protection category and across the remaining 12 legal practice areas. The full shortlist is available here.
The winners will be announced on 15 October 2026 during the official awards gala in Warsaw.
