We are very pleased to announce that Artur Piechocki, managing partner of our law firm, has been re-elected President of the Arbitration Court for Internet Domains at the Polish Chamber of Information Technology and Telecommunications (PIIT).
Congratulations and thanks are also due to the other members of the Court Council: Tomasz Kulisiewicz, Konrad Marzęcki Anna Piechocka and Agnieszka Kądziela-Piasecka, whose commitment and knowledge are the basis for the effective operation of the Court.
For me, this is not only an honor, but also a commitment. From the beginning of the Court, we had a clear goal. To create a modern and effective mechanism for resolving domain disputes that responds to the needs of the rapidly evolving digital market. I am pleased that we can continue this mission – Artur Piechocki says.
The Internet Domain Arbitration Court of the PIIT was established in 2002 to resolve disputes that arise during the process of registering Internet domains. The Court undertook its first cases as early as 2003 and has since become an important arbitration institution in the Polish Internet market.
Artur Piechocki has been involved in the establishment and development of this institution from the beginning, and his re-election as President is a confirmation of his significant role and the confidence of the community. Under Artur’s leadership – the Court will continue to develop procedures and promote fair competition and protection of rights in the digital space.
