Founder of the APLAW. Co-founder and President of the Internet Domains Arbitration Court at the Polish Chamber of Information Technology and Telecommunications (PIIT). Attorney-at-law registered to the list of the District Chamber of Attorneys-at-Law in Warsaw. The graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań and the postgraduate studies in Intellectual Property Law at the Jagiellonian University.
He specialises in the intellectual and industrial property law, information and communication technology (ICT) law, data protection and privacy and cyber security. He possess 20 years of experience in conducting legal audits and providing legal advice to the Polish and international companies, mainly from the IT, telecom and media sectors.
For many years he worked as Legal and Domain Policy Advisor to the PL Registry in the Research and Academic Computer Network (NASK - National Research Institute) representing the Registry in Poland and with international organisations.
An expert of the Ministry of Digital Affairs in the legislative work of three working groups: Internet of Things, Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence. Co-creator of the domain name recognition in the Court of Arbitration at the Polish Chamber of Commerce (KIG).
An expert of the European Network and Information Security Agency (ENISA) on regulatory advice, privacy and personal data protection. An expert of EU CyberNet in terms of cybersecurity. He also works with the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), and in the past with the Council of European National Top Level Domain Registries (CENTR). He also participated in the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) meetings. He is also a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) and The New Technology Law Association (SPNT). He lectures at the H. Grocjusz IP Center IT/TMT School in Warsaw.
He acts as a Chaper Chair for Poland on behalf of PrivacyConnect. Member of the editorial board of The New Technologies Law Magazine of C.H. BeckHe was a speaker at many conferences on personal data protection and IDO and cyber security. Author of several hundred press articles in the Rzeczpospolita daily, Dziennik Gazeta Prawna, ITWiZ and ODO magazine Personal Data Protection and others. Co-author of the book “Internet domains. Theory and practice” published by Wolters Kluwer in 2020.
A lawyer recommended annually by Media Law International and Legal 500 EMEA in the field of media, telecommunications and technology law. Awarded in Rzeczpospolita's legal ranking as a leading individual in the fields of cybersecurity as well as privacy and personal data protection.
