Martyna Popiołek-Dębska

Attorney-at-law. Member of the Łodz Bar of Attorneys. She graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Lodz University, as well as the post graduate studies "Personal data protection" at the University of Lodz, and "New technologies law" at the Kozminski Academy. At present she participates in doctoral studies at Lazarski University in Warsaw.

She specializes in personal data protection, image protection, consumer and competition law, e-commerce, marketing and advertising, as well as combating unfair competition. She acts as a Data Protection Officer in one of the largest Polish transportation companies.

Martyna advises companies from e-commerce sector. In particular, she drafts and verifies documents required for conducting an online business, as well as the marketing activities, particularly the online store regulations and policy, terms and conditions, promotions, competitions and lotteries. She also represents entrepreneurs in disputes against the influencers and Internet portals in cases concerning personal goods infringement and defamation.

She has a wide experience which she gained acting as an in-house lawyer where she participated in nearly 70 projects in Poland and EU.

Before joining APLAW she worked as an in-house lawyer in one of the biggest capital groups in Poland, where she was responsible for the legal support of the company's e-commerce activities on the Polish and international markets.

Author of several articles and postcasts on consumer and competition issues, as well as e-commerce, marketing, advertising, and media law.

Speaks English.
