Artur Piechocki lecturer at the School of New Technology Law (IT & TMT) at the H. Grocjusz Intellectual Property Law Center

In January 2025, the School of New Technology Law (IT & TMT), organized by the H. Grocjusz Intellectual Property Law Center, kicked off its sixth edition. Artur Piechocki once again led a series of lectures as part of the program.

At the IT & TMT School, Artur Piechocki delivered a lecture titled “Domain Name Disputes,” scheduled for February 22, 2025, focusing on the FinTech sector.

The program was open to anyone interested in understanding the new technology sector from both technological and legal perspectives. There were no prerequisites requiring completed legal studies, making it accessible to law graduates, trainees, post-trainee lawyers, and law students eager to expand their knowledge in IT & TMT.

The curriculum covered the following topics:

• Software market trends,
• Artificial intelligence systems,
• Computer programs: protection and licensing,
• FinTech,
• Future trends: combined sessions – IP School and IT & TMT,
• Media and online advertising,
• Computer games,
• Cybersecurity,
• Artificial intelligence and the law,
• Blockchain, tokens, cryptocurrencies,
• E-sports.

Classes began in January 2025.

Participation was limited to 30 individuals, which encouraged early applications.

The program provided a comprehensive overview of key issues in new technology law, combining legal and technological perspectives.
