On August 27, 2024, an online training titled “IT LEGAL – Legal Aspects of IT Contracts” took place, featuring attorney-at-law Artur Piechocki. APLaw was a partner of the event organized by the publisher of the “Rzeczpospolita” daily.
The training was aimed at professionals seeking to deepen their knowledge of the specifics of IT contracts. The presenters covered:
- priority topics in the field of Legal IT,
- common issues and legal regulations related to contract formation,
- practical matters supporting better protection of contracting parties’ interests,
- common pitfalls in IT contracts and methods to avoid them.
Artur Piechocki’s presentation, titled “Cybersecurity Outsourcing,” started at 11:00 AM and focused on cybersecurity. During the lecture, he detailed:
- basic concepts of cybersecurity,
- current obligations of entities covered by cybersecurity law,
- planned regulatory changes (NIS2, KSC2),
- risk management at the intersection of GDPR and cybersecurity,
- examples of cybersecurity incidents,
- cybersecurity outsourcing vs. in-house solutions,
- construction of outsourcing agreements for cybersecurity,
- types of services provided by cybersecurity providers,
- cyber threats arising from AI use,
- responsibility for AI.
The training, led by experienced experts in IT law and cybersecurity, provided an opportunity to acquire advanced knowledge and skills necessary for effective IT contract management.
