Artur Piechocki spoke as an expert at the “DORA: Key legal and practical implementation aspects” conference organized by “Puls Biznesu”

On October 3, 2024, a conference focusing on the essential legal and practical aspects of implementing the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) took place. Artur Piechocki participated as both a keynote speaker and moderator of a discussion panel. APLaw was a substantive partner of the event, which was co-organized with the publisher of “Puls Biznesu”.

Artur Piechocki’s presentation, titled “Introduction to DORA: key concepts, scope of application,” opened the main part of the conference at 9:10 AM. During the session, participants gained insights into:

• the core principles and objectives of DORA,
• the sectors and entities required to comply,
• the impact of DORA on different segments of the financial market.

In the afternoon, Artur Piechocki also led the panel discussion “Challenges and benefits of implementing DORA,” where experts explored key challenges and advantages of implementing the regulation, including implications for cooperation with ICT providers.

The conference aimed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA), focusing on new obligations and strategies to strengthen the resilience of financial institutions against digital threats.
