Attorney-at-law Artur Piechocki explains what companies should pay particular attention to when deciding to implement artificial intelligence in their operations. His expert commentary was published in an article by Grażyna J. Leśniak titled “AI Can Support Business Operations—Provided We Do Not Forget About Rules and People” on the Prawo.pl platform.
In his statement for Prawo.pl, Artur Piechocki emphasizes that the effective and secure use of artificial intelligence within an organization must always depend on the specific purpose for which it is implemented. Different rules apply to simple use cases, such as content creation, than to situations in which AI systems process personal data, confidential information, or support decision-making in HR and workforce management. He also highlights the importance of data protection, intellectual property rights, and cybersecurity.
Artur Piechocki points out that using AI tools of unknown origin may involve serious risks—ranging from unauthorized data use to exposure to systems trained on so-called “poisoned data” or even solutions designed for offensive or malicious activities. For this reason, he recommends implementing AI solutions developed and tested within the organization itself, trained and validated exclusively on internal data.
He also stresses that the human factor remains a critical element of responsible AI use and explains why organizations should have an expert capable of verifying and assessing the outputs generated by AI systems.
At APLaw, we support businesses in the safe and legally compliant implementation of AI solutions. Companies interested in advisory services related to artificial intelligence, technology regulations, and cybersecurity are encouraged to explore our offer in this area.
