Wolters Kluwer Poland has published the report “AI Trust Index 2026: Between Promise and Trust – Where Does AI Stand Today?”. Among the experts contributing to the publication is attorney-at-law Artur Piechocki, whose commentary adds a practical perspective on the challenges associated with the use of artificial intelligence in both legal practice and business operations.
AI Trust Index 2026 is the inaugural edition of a study examining not only the scale of AI adoption among legal professionals but, more importantly, the level of trust placed in this technology. Based on insights from nearly 400 representatives of the legal sector, the report demonstrates that while AI has become an everyday professional tool, organizations and practitioners continue to grapple with questions concerning its reliability, accountability, and safe deployment.
The publication offers a practical assessment of how AI is being used by professionals. It explores, among other topics, the ways lawyers utilize AI-powered tools, the degree of trust placed in AI-generated outputs, verification processes, the impact of AI on work organization, and the future direction of AI development.
The report concludes that artificial intelligence has already moved beyond the experimental phase. The key challenge today is no longer adoption itself, but rather the responsible implementation of AI, effective risk management, and the development of trust in AI-driven solutions. From a business perspective, this requires balancing innovation with governance, compliance, cybersecurity, and the quality and reliability of data and information sources.
In his commentary, Artur Piechocki highlights the practical aspects of working with AI, including the importance of verifying AI-generated outputs, maintaining human accountability, and establishing transparent internal rules for the use of artificial intelligence within organizations. These issues are increasingly central to projects involving AI governance, AI Act compliance, data protection, and cybersecurity.
The report is a valuable resource for law firms, in-house legal departments, compliance professionals, management teams, and organizations that already use or are planning to implement artificial intelligence solutions. In addition to the research findings, it features insights from leading experts in the legal and technology sectors, presenting diverse perspectives on the future development of AI.
We would like to thank Wolters Kluwer for the opportunity to participate in this project and contribute to a publication addressing one of the most significant technological and regulatory challenges of today and the years ahead.
